Saraya shocked fans with her surprise return at Insane Wrestling Revolution on December 27, 2025—but it wasn’t just the low blow to Pierre Gerin that had people talking. It was the entrance music.

The former AEW and WWE star walked out to her iconic WWE theme, “Stars in the Night,” a move that instantly sent longtime fans into nostalgia mode. But now we know why she chose that track—and it’s more personal than you might think.

According to a new update from Fightful Select, there’s no deeper meaning behind her avoiding her AEW entrance music. The real reason? It was her ex’s song.

“There was nothing major to read into Saraya using her WWE theme during her appearance at Insane Wrestling Revolution,” the report noted. “We’re told she didn’t want to use her AEW theme because it was her ex-boyfriend’s song.”

Saraya’s choice to use her WWE music had more to do with avoiding awkward emotional baggage than starting a firestorm of speculation.

Her actual appearance at IWR also showed she’s still got the fire. After being interrupted by Gerin and his faction, Saraya delivered a low blow that brought the crowd to their feet. She was then given the power to book a match on the fly—choosing Kenny Urban and AJ Francis to team up against two mystery opponents.

Even though she’s been keeping a relatively low profile since her AEW exit, this indie return reminded everyone that Saraya can still take over a show on her own terms—and now we know why she made the musical choice that she did.

Do you think Saraya made the right call using her WWE theme instead of anything AEW-related? Drop your thoughts and theories in the comments.
