WWE Hall of Famer RVD always loves having a good time and that’s exactly what he did when he was attending Nick Hogan’s wedding last week. He posted a video of himself drinking beer with Hulk Hogan but eventually decided to take it down and has now explained why he did so.
While speaking on his 1 of a Kind podcast, RVD talked about attending Nick Hogan’s wedding and drinking some beer with Hulk Hogan in a video he posted. RVD mentioned that after posting the video, he noticed some comments questioning how it might reflect on Hulk Hogan. While there were around 400 comments, he only read about 20 of them. A few people interpreted the video in a way he and his team had been concerned about, leading to the decision to remove it.
RVD acknowledged that taking down a post was rare for him, something he had only done once before that he could recall. Ultimately, he didn’t see it as a big deal but felt it was the right choice in that situation.
“We just saw him last weekend at, uh, Nick Hogan’s wedding. Yeah, there was a little questionable moment about how that might make Hulk look. We talked about it, posted it, and I only read like, maybe 10% of the comments. There were about 400, and I probably read around 20 or so. There were just a couple that saw it the way we were afraid they would, you know, in regard to Hulk.
So we decided to go ahead and take it down, which I’ve only done like once that I can remember—one time. But anyway, you know, it’s not a big deal.”
Hulk Hogan skipped out on Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25th in San Antonio since he was obviously attending his son’s wedding. To make things even more interesting, Matt Riddle also no-showed a wrestling event just so that he could attend Nick Hogan’s wedding. Nevertheless, RVD simply feels it was the right call to delete the video and he has no regrets about it whatsoever.
Do you think RVD made the right decision in taking down the video? Should he have left it up, or was it better to avoid potential controversy? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
