Hell in a Cell is fast approaching and the card seems set. While the undercard of the PPV is not likely to set light the world on fire, there are some solid matches. Natalya vs Charlotte will be another great match from the pair as a result of their great chemistry. Orton vs Rusev has potential to be a great match if given more than 10 seconds. And while Roode vs Ziggler is unlikely to tear the house down, they could surprise people. As it’s namesake however we already have our two Hell in a Cell matches and both are dripping with potential. Owens vs McMahon is likely to be an intriguing, if not violent affair. Along with that, we have The New Day and The Uso’s inside the devil’s playground for the Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships. That is the match that should main event Hell in a Cell.
It is a popular opinion among us fans that the world championship match should go on last. It is the world championship after all why would it not be main eventing every PPV? Well, as with things outside of wrestling, there are always exceptions to the rule. At No Mercy last year Dean Ambrose, John Cena and AJ Styles opened the show for the WWE Championship. Those are 3 main event calibre talents who are bona fide superstars. Particularly Cena and Styles who are and were fantastic champions. Something Jinder Mahal is not and something Shinsuke Nakamura is not likely to become on October 8th.
