D-Von Dudley doesn’t doubt Logan Paul’s athletic skills—but if it were the WCW locker room of the ‘90s, things wouldn’t have gone well for the YouTuber-turned-WWE-star.

During a conversation with Video Gamer, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked about the growing trend of influencer crossovers in pro wrestling. While he gave Paul credit for stepping up and taking the sport seriously, D-Von made it clear that back in his day, someone like Logan wouldn’t have been welcomed so easily.

“I think he’s a true athlete and he takes the game very seriously and my hat goes off to him,” D-Von said. “But he wouldn’t have fit in during WCW. I say that respectfully because a lot of these old school guys would not have liked that. They would’ve been trying to mess with him, trying to get him to crack, and that was the way the business was back then. They weren’t letting outside people into our locker room at that. There was always a problem.”

Back then, respect had to be earned the hard way—and locker rooms were fiercely guarded. D-Von’s comments echo what many veterans have said about the business during that era: outsiders were often hazed or driven out.

Whether Logan Paul could’ve survived that kind of pressure is up for debate, but in today’s WWE, he’s proven himself enough to hold championship gold and deliver standout matches on big stages. Logan may have missed the old-school gauntlet, but it’s clear the respect from legends like D-Von comes with an asterisk.

Are you buying D-Von’s take on how Logan Paul would’ve been treated in WCW? Or do you think Logan would’ve earned his spot back then too? Drop your thoughts below—we’re listening.
