Liv Morgan’s 2024 truly elevated her to a whole new level as she portrayed the role of a heel in the best way possible. In fact, the former Women’s World Champion has now explained why she prefers being a heel over a babyface.

While speaking to the Cup of bELieve podcast, Liv Morgan was asked whether she prefers being a babyface or heel. Morgan said she naturally likes playing heels in stories. She finds their actions interesting and enjoys figuring out why they behave the way they do. She thinks heels are often misunderstood, which makes them more fun to play.

Morgan admitted that she also enjoys the energy of being booed by the crowd. The negative reactions give her a different kind of excitement compared to being cheered. She finds it fun when fans get so upset that they loudly show their dislike. While she has done well as a babyface, she loves being a heel and wants to see how much reaction she can get.

“I gravitate towards bad guys, yeah. Maybe naturally. I just feel like there’s a reason for everything. There’s a reason for this behavior, you know? There’s something misunderstood there that I kind of want to figure out. That’s my toxic trait. That’s my red flag.

Yeah, trying to figure it out. And then when you get that crowd—when everyone’s yelling and booing at you—you kind of feed off it. It’s so funny. It’s such a different feeling than being cheered, like being disliked. Like, yeah being a babyface is great, but to get people riled up enough that they want to voice their displeasure for you—that is such a funny feeling. And I love it. I’m obsessed with it. I want to see how much of it I can get.”

It’s not hard to see why Liv Morgan prefers being a heel since she is simply so good at it. In the meantime, she qualified for the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, so we’ll have to wait and see if she will manage to win the bout and secure her spot at WrestleMania 41, as fans feel she more than deserves it.
