Karrion Kross parted ways with WWE once his contract expired last week, but people wonder if he’ll ever return there. While speculation continues, he has now addressed returning to WWE again.
While speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, when asked about the possibility of returning to WWE, Karrion Kross said he still wants to go back despite frustrations during both of his runs with the company.
Kross described WWE as “home” and explained that, while setbacks and frustrations are part of life, he has no interest in leaving behind the place where he has so many positive core memories. These memories outweigh any negative experiences and include strong relationships and friendships with both the locker room and supporting staff.
“I would prefer to go back home with my wife and let’s give people what they want. Home meaning WWE. Despite the fact it’s been frustrating, I still want to go back, yes. That’s life, man—there’s grief and setbacks, and frustrations will be part of every setback in life. There’s an old Japanese saying: you find a job you love and you never work a day in your life. I don’t have an interest in making a departure from that, especially WWE. I have so many great core memories of being there, even amongst all that other stuff. It pales in comparison to the relationships and friendships I have, not just with people in the locker room but with the supporting staff.”
Kross also said it is not too late for WWE to turn his departure into a storyline. He believes there is still something meaningful that could be given to the audience, and while delaying the payoff could work, it is currently not being done. He added that it should be happening and that there is still time to make it work.
“There’s something available for the audience that you can give them. I’m still waiting, man. Yes, I can lean into this. You should always give the people what they want. If you want to stall them for a little bit with a payoff on the back end, then that’s okay. That’s not what is happening right now, but it should be happening—and it’s not too late to get there.”
However, it is to be noted that WWE nixed Kross appearance on the RAW after SummerSlam with no explanation whatsoever. Therefore, we’ll have to see if he comes back to WWE one day since he still calls it home.
Should WWE re-sign Karrion Kross and turn his departure into a storyline, or is it time for him to explore other opportunities in wrestling? Sound off in the comments.
