Cody Rhodes had been away from WWE for a while, since he was filming Street Fighter in Australia. Now that he’s wrapped up filming for his role, the reaction to Rhodes on-set has been revealed.

According to Fightful Select, people who worked with Cody Rhodes on the set of Street Fighter had high praise for him and his professionalism. One source also shared that Hirooki Goto may have gotten his role thanks to Cody’s recommendation, suggesting Cody helped make the opportunity happen.

“Those spoken to who worked on set with Cody Rhodes during Street Fighter spoke glowingly of him. One person also indicated that Hirooki Goto may have gotten his role after Cody put in a good word to help make that happen.”

Cody Rhodes is portraying the role of Guile in the upcoming Street Fighter film and many fans feel he was born to play the iconic character. Considering the glowing reviews he got, it’s evident his performance will surpass all expectations.

Now that he’s done filming the movie, Cody Rhodes will be defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at the WWE Wrestlepalooza Premium Live Event.

The Street Fighter will be releasing on October 16, 2026 and so we will have to wait and see whether the movie will end up becoming one of the best live action shows in a long time, as fans feel it definitely should.
