AEW Revolution ended with a shocking moment as Swerve Strickland ambushed Jon Moxley, staking his claim as the next AEW World Champion. But after the cameras stopped rolling, Strickland took time to share a moment with a wrestling legend he grew up idolizing—Adam Copeland.
The main event saw Moxley defend his AEW World Championship against Copeland, who nearly walked away with the gold after hitting “not one but three spears.” Just as it looked like he had it won, Christian Cage made a surprise move, pulling the referee out and cashing in his championship contract to turn the match into a triple threat.
Despite Cage’s last-minute play, Moxley refused to let go of his title. He “choked Christian out” to retain in a match that had the LA crowd on their feet. But the night wasn’t over yet.
As Moxley made his way through the crowd, he ran into Prince Nana, which turned out to be the perfect distraction. “Swerve came out of nowhere and jumped on Mox,” laying him out to close the show. With Strickland now the #1 contender, it’s clear he’s not wasting any time in making his intentions known.
After the chaos, Strickland stepped back into the ring and shared a heartfelt moment with Copeland. He even took the mic to remind everyone that “this was his house,” ending the night on a powerful note.
With Strickland now gunning for Moxley’s title, the AEW World Championship picture just got a lot more interesting. Do you think Swerve is the one to finally take down Moxley? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
