Wes Lee is officially open for business. Just weeks after his WWE release, the former NXT standout has confirmed he’s now accepting bookings for matches, signings, and seminars—marking a new chapter in his career outside the company.
Lee, whose real name is Deveon Aichens, recently updated fans via X/Twitter, revealing he’s going back to his pre-WWE name, Dezmond Xavier, while announcing his return to the independent wrestling scene.
“Dezmond Xavier software update available to the public November 11th.”
Lee is being represented by Paragon Talent Group, the agency co-founded by Steven Kaye and former WWE Superstar Dean “Mojo Rawley” Muhtadi. He now joins a high-profile roster including Mercedes Moné, Mandy Rose, Luchasaurus, Jordynne Grace, MVP, and Rusev.
This return to the booking circuit comes shortly after his official release from WWE on October 10, 2025. According to earlier reports, WWE management simply didn’t see him as part of their long-term plans, despite his reputation as one of the most gifted in-ring performers in the company.
“The biggest surprise was Wes Lee (Deveon Aichens, 36), who is great in the ring. I guess the idea is that after five years in the system, they simply felt they were never going to use him on the main roster.” – Dave Meltzer
Lee had an impressive run in NXT, where he captured both the NXT North American Championship and NXT Tag Team Titles. But after a July 29 loss to Je’Von Evans and a few untelevised matches, his status quietly shifted—culminating in a move to the WWE alumni section before the release became public.
Now operating under the Dezmond Xavier name once again, Wes Lee is ready to reintroduce himself to fans, promoters, and companies around the world.
