Every Thursday, AEW fans focus on the ratings when Dynamite’s viewership numbers are released. Many discuss and analyze what the numbers mean, and there’s always a lot of discourse online about the ratings. With that in mind, Warner Bros. Discovery’s current stance on the discussion surrounding AEW’s ratings has now been made clear.

While speaking on Beyond The Bell, Andrew Zarian reported that Warner Bros. Discovery isn’t concerned about the discourse surrounding the ratings for AEW’s shows. It was noted that executives at Warner Bros. Discovery do not pay attention to online discussions about ratings, as it has little impact on their decisions.

“I’ve been hearing very positive stuff from WBD. I brought up the ratings and the internet chatter to them and they don’t care. It doesn’t even resonate. The messaging on the internet is not even resonating with these people and they’re in key positions there.”

Last year, AEW signed their blockbuster multi-year media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery and that has allowed the company to appear on MAX and improve their overall production value, among other things.

Valued at a whopping $555 million over three years, AEW’s deal with Warner Bros. Discovery will bring in $180 million in 2025, $185 million in 2026, and $190 million in 2027. The network also has the option to extend the contract through 2028 at an even higher value.

Despite ongoing discussions about AEW’s ratings, Warner Bros. Discovery remains confident in the company’s future. With a solid media rights deal secured, AEW continues to grow its partnership with the network, showing that weekly rating changes are not a major concern for executives.
