AEW Collision’s May 17th broadcast ended abruptly at 9:30 PM, cutting off the main event and unexpectedly airing The Rock’s Black Adam movie. Now, Rich Guleksen, the Associate Director of Live Events for Warner Bros. Discovery, is shedding light on what went wrong.

Taking to his Bluesky account, Guleksen addressed frustrated fans, writing, “Just heard about this. Very sorry this happened.” He explained, “It actually was a severe technical problem with show delivery [and] recording. The team is working to get this put back together for MAX replay & TNT VOD ASAP.”

Earlier in the night, AEW President Tony Khan also apologized for the disruption, blaming the issue on “technical problems with our studio transmission” and assuring fans that the complete episode would air on the TNT West feed and Stream On Max.

Despite these updates, viewers are still fuming over missing the advertised ROH Tag Team Championship match between Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara vs. The CRU, which was completely cut from the broadcast.
