Wardlow has been off AEW television for nearly a year, but he’s recently been spotted in Los Angeles—the same city hosting AEW Revolution tonight at the former Staples Center. While that might set off some speculation, don’t jump to conclusions just yet.

According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, Wardlow has been in town, but not necessarily for the pay-per-view. “We’ve not been told that he’s backstage, but it ‘wouldn’t be surprising’ if he was,” the report noted. His last AEW match was back on March 13 at Dynamite: Big Business, and since then, there’s been a lot of talk about why he’s been missing from action.

Despite fan theories about creative mishandling, sources have repeatedly stated that Wardlow has been recovering from an injury. The latest update? He’s in LA working on another project. No word yet on whether he’ll make an appearance tonight or when he’s officially set to return.

Wardlow’s situation has been one big question mark for months, and his trip to LA only adds more fuel to the fire.
