Wardlow hasn’t stepped foot in an AEW ring since the March 13, 2024 “Big Business” edition of Dynamite, but that’s about to change.

After months on the shelf, the powerhouse is officially cleared to return — and AEW is already talking about how to bring him back.

His Undisputed Kingdom teammate Matt Taven first revealed during the Stick To Wrestling podcast in September 2024 that Wardlow was dealing with a knee injury that had sidelined him. Now, according to Fightful he’s not only healed but has wrapped filming for the two seasons of American Gladiators he was committed to during his time away.

Sources say AEW officials have “already begun discussing plans for his comeback,” though no details have been revealed just yet.

Wardlow has been spotted backstage at several AEW events in recent weeks, including All In: Texas. He was also seen at last Wednesday’s Dynamite in Cleveland, Ohio — but given that it’s his hometown, that one’s not a total surprise.

If AEW pulls the trigger soon, Wardlow’s return could shake things up in a big way. The only question now is how — and when — the company decides to bring “Mr. Mayhem” back into the mix.
