Britt Baker’s name is always in the mix when it comes to AEW drama, but this time, the controversy was completely manufactured. A viral audio clip allegedly featuring Tony Khan slamming Baker in a private conversation with WBD executives has now been confirmed to be 100% fake.

According to PWInsider, the leaked recording that claimed Khan called Baker a “nightmare” and suggested she was leaving for WWE was actually AI-generated. The clip, which quickly made the rounds online, included supposed comments from Khan saying:

“Dude, between you and me and this doesn’t go anywhere but here, Britt Baker is a complete nightmare. Like, just the whiniest thing. You book her to go over, it’s not good enough. She says the crowd doesn’t like it. You book her to lose, she’s pissed. She’s done at this point, man. She’s off to WWE.”

Despite Baker’s well-documented backstage reputation, sources have repeatedly stated that her issues in AEW have been exaggerated. There’s been no confirmation that Tony Khan has a problem with her, and AEW has made no official statement about when—or if—she will return to TV.

Britt Baker’s AEW future is already a mystery, and now fake AI clips are only making things messier. Whether she returns to AEW or makes a shocking jump to WWE, one thing is clear—her name isn’t leaving the headlines anytime soon.

With Baker’s future in AEW still unclear, this AI-generated drama only adds more chaos to the situation. But with technology making it easier than ever to spread false narratives, what’s next for Baker, and will she even be back in an AEW ring? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
