Moving to Smackdown Live, Russo says he loved the opening segment with Jinder Mahal and his elaborate entrance. He adds that he loved the woman who was singing and he’d definitely date her. Once Nakamura came out, Russo doesn’t understand why Mahal didn’t get heat on Nakamura which would have lead us into SummerSlam on Sunday.
Russo points out that it was very predictable that Owens would hit Shane McMahon this week, creating more intrigue heading into the United States Title Match at SummerSlam. He says that Big Vito predicted this would be a Triple Threat match at SummerSlam and while Russo didn’t think that would happen initially, now he admits that could happen.
Russo says that he loves the Fashion Files segments because he actually thinks they’re entertaining. He has no idea who is writing this stuff, but they’re doing a great job and WWE programming needs more stuff like this.
