He points out that while he does make fun of the dirt sheet writers from time to time he doesn’t hate any of those guys, and quite frankly he doesn’t hate anyone. For some reason people still find reasons to hate him and he believes there are three reasons for that.
Some people disagree with his wrestling philosophy, while other’s are jealous of the success he had as a writer. Lastly, some wrestlers are still angry at him for not booking them as World Champion. He points out that nobody has stories about the terrible person he is, about him cheating on his wife or ignoring his family. That’s because those things didn’t happen.
Kenny ‘Starmaker’ Bolin was a good friend of Jim Cornette for over 40 years and now Bolin has started podcasting for Russo’s The Brand. Russo recalls Cornette talking about Bolin when Bolin was working in OVW many years ago. Russo didn’t even know him back then.
He recalls Bolin inquiring about coming on one of Russo’s show at that time and Russo was hesitant because he didn’t want to bring one of Cornette’s best friends on his show out of fear that he would be ridiculed and attacked by Bolin for the entire show.
