Vince Russo’s The Brand Recap – Hell in A Cell Analysis, Shane Needs to Think About Family, Big E Due For A Singles Run? More!

In Russo’s opinion, Tye Dillinger was sorely misplaced in the United States Title match with Baron Corbin and A.J. Styles. He believes that Dillinger was placed in this match solely to take the pin, so Styles wouldn’t have to get pinned while losing his United States Title. Russo says that Dillinger is the ‘Perfect 10’, but WWE hasn’t told us one reason why that’s the case.

Russo has no idea who Rusev pissed off backstage because two years ago WWE had him on the verge of becoming a main event talent. He adds that during this time WWE should have brought in Kurt Angle to challenge Rusev, and if Rusev would have won that match he would have been set for life. Vito says that maybe Rusev raised his voice to the wrong person who may have been staring at or speaking to Lana backstage, resulting in him getting heat with the office.

Russo doesn’t see any scenario where the Tag Team Titles should leave The Usos’ shoulders right now. He thinks that these guys are doing fantastic work and their match with The New Day on Sunday night was another example of this.

Russo wishes that The New Day would get more serious on occasion and lose the flashy colours. If he was booking the show he’d write a storyline with all three men becoming frustrated with losing and wanting to be taken more seriously. Big E would be Russo’s main focus during this storyline because he’s the guy who stands to benefit the most from a singles run at some point in the future.

That sums up today’s episode of Vince Russo’s The Brand. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
