Another clip of Keller presents him saying that Booker T needs cue cards because his commentary work hasn’t been good. Russo says that Vince McMahon produces all three of the commentators on every single show, so if Keller has an issue with Booker T’s commentary, he should be blaming McMahon for the way he’s producing Booker T.
Lane mentions that Ryan Satin tweeted this past week, saying that he was deciding whether to make his ring tone Lane’s theme song or Aleister Black’s theme song. Russo says that this is a grown man, deciding which wrestler’s theme music he’s going to use for his ring tone. He says this perfectly sums up the term ‘mark’.
This past week Brian Alvarez said that Enzo Amore’s Cruiserweight Title reign is going to suck, but WWE thinks it’s going to work well because “he’s a star”. Russo says that Amore ‘IS’ a star and that’s a good thing, in spite of what Alvarez might think. These dirt sheet writers want Amore to fail so bad because he doesn’t do 1000 back flips every match, but every time he gets a mic in his hand he gets over more.
Dave Meltzer criticized The Miz this week, saying his work was very lacklustre in his match on RAW. Russo says that Meltzer criticizing The Miz’s ring work is like him criticizing a bodybuilder’s gym routine. The Miz has been working his ass off in WWE for over a decade and it’s about time these dirt sheet writers start paying him some respect.
Meltzer also criticized Elias’ ring work this week saying that while his singing gimmick is good and his body is great, he’s just another guy when he steps in the ring. Russo says that some of the biggest money-makers of all time like Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan were never exceptional in the ring, but fake fights never draw a dime, it’s the personalities leading up to the fights that draws money.
