JCW had to rewrite their story when Matt Caronda, who was their top champion, left for WWE. Vince Russo has a lot of history with Triple H, and he couldn’t help but to take a shot this week.
In the opening segment of JCW’s show this week, Vince Russo debuted the new JCW Lunacy Heavyweight Title. Russo said that he would make a way better champion than CM Punk. He also said he wouldn’t have to “wrestle in a t-shirt because I’m not 50 years old.”
Russo then addressed the fact that they don’t have a JCW Lunacy Champion right now, because Triple H took Matt Cardona back to WWE. So, Russo announced that he has made an executive decision.
Next week on JCW’s weekly show, there will be a match to determine a new JCW Lunacy Champion. The participants will be Cowboy James Storm and Mr. Anderson.
It should also be noted that Russo didn’t seem upset at Cardona, as he asked fans to applaud him as a great JCW champion. Since he name-dropped Triple H and CM Punk in this fashion, Russo may not be 100% cool with them.
We will have to see what happens next in this situation. The JCW landscape changed a lot when Matt Cardona returned to WWE. That may have also rubbed Vince Russo the wrong way.
