MJF and Jeff Jarrett have been locked in a heated feud, trading personal insults over the past few weeks. While their rivalry is far from finished, Vince Russo made it clear that he believes AEW should bring in Dixie Carter to add to the storyline.
While speaking on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Vince Russo talked about MJF and Jeff Jarrett’s feud. He pointed out that Jeff Jarrett is supposed to be the good guy, but he is insulting MJF’s mother.
According to Russo, a babyface takes the high road, so this doesn’t make much sense. Meanwhile, MJF is responding by making comments about Karen Jarrett. Russo also mentioned that MJF accused Jarrett of using Owen Hart’s death to help his career. He believes no one would ever believe that.
“Jeff is the babyface, and he’s telling everyone that MJF’s mother is a hoe. I don’t know MJF’s mother, but Jeff is supposed to be the good guy—the babyface is supposed to take the high road.
In response, MJF is talking about wanting to sleep with Karen. And then, of course, there’s about three minutes of him saying, ‘You used the death of Owen to get ahead,’ which nobody would ever believe. No one would believe that in a million years.”
To make the storyline better, Russo believes that MJF should try to embarrass Jarrett by bringing out people from Jarrett’s past who have problems with him. While many people respect Jarrett, others don’t like him.
Russo believes MJF could bring out someone like Raven, who might accuse Jarrett of holding him back in TNA and making himself the star. Russo said the best way to end this would be by having Dixie Carter come out last. He believes this surprise would get people talking and make the feud even bigger.
“What I said was, if you really want to get people talking, Jeff has such a long and rich history in the business. And for as many people who love Jeff—the Sanjays, the Jay Lethals—there are also a lot of people who hate him. MJF should try to humiliate and embarrass Jeff.
MJF should bring out people, one by one, who have a problem with him. Whoever it is—Raven, for example—he could come out and say, ‘You held me down at TNA. You ran the company, you put the belt on yourself, blah blah blah.’
And then, in the end, the last person you bring out is Dixie Carter. That’ll make it better and get people talking.”
AEW bringing Dixie Carter could change the course of the feud, bringing unexpected drama and raising the stakes between MJF and Jeff Jarrett. Whether AEW will take Russo’s advice is still unknown, but the potential to enhance the storyline is clear.
