Vince McMahon is gone, but he’s not forgotten.
WWE made a historic announcement today. Along the way, Vince McMahon also had his name dropped by a heavy-hitter in the deal.
WWE announced during a breaking news livestream hosted by Joe Tessitore that WrestleMania 43 will take place in 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event featured appearances from Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Shawn Michaels, Liv Morgan, The Undertaker, Stephanie Vaquer, Logan Paul, and Seth Rollins before Triple H brought out Turki Al Al-Sheikh to confirm the news.
Turki Al Al-Sheikh spoke about how he first dealt with WWE, and he gave two names of people who made initial contact with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He mentioned Triple H and Vince McMahon.
“I would like to thank the Crown Prince for his support, especially in WWE, because this is what happened in our country. Before 8 years ago I meet with me and my father, Vince McMahon and Triple H at my home when I was minister of sport in my country. I said to them, ‘let’s go ahead changing in the future to deliver big project together.’ I hope that we are delivering close to that.”
We will have to see if Vince McMahon makes his way to Saudi Arabia in 2027 for WrestleMania. Even though he is no longer with the company, his fingerprints are still certainly all over this historic show in the Middle East.
