Newly released dashcam footage is putting Vince McMahon’s July 2025 car crash under a harsh spotlight, showing just how fast things escalated before the collision.
The video, recorded by Connecticut State Police and obtained by The US Sun, captures the former WWE Chairman driving his $300,000 Bentley Continental GT Speed at extreme speeds along Route 15 in Westport, Connecticut. The footage shows McMahon weaving through traffic at over 100 mph before slamming into a BMW driven by Barbara Doran, sending debris flying across the roadway and eventually crashing into a guardrail.
As officers approached the wreckage—complete with smoke pouring from the engine and airbags deployed—a state trooper confronted McMahon about his driving.
“I’m trying to catch up to you and you keep taking off. You almost hit I think 115 miles an hour.”
McMahon, who appeared shaken at the scene and declined medical attention, told the officer he was on his way to see his granddaughter for her birthday. He also suggested he wasn’t fully used to driving the vehicle.
“I’m trying to drive. I haven’t been driving my car in God knows how long.”
At one point, McMahon was heard directing frustration at himself in the aftermath of the crash.
“God damn it. Stupid f**king fool.”
Barbara Doran, the driver of the BMW, later shared her account publicly, describing the impact as violent and terrifying. According to her, the force of the crash sent her car flying a significant distance down the highway.
“McMahon hit me going 80-90 mph as I drove in the right lane of the narrow Merritt Highway.”
She also noted how narrowly the situation avoided becoming even worse.
“McMahon saw me last minute and swerved, smashing into my left rear, but that if he had hit me full on, there might’ve been a very different ending for me.”
Doran pointed out a strange coincidence tied to the timing of the crash as well.
“Oddly, Hulk Hogan, who made McMahon’s fame and fortune, died about the same time as the accident.”
Following the incident, McMahon was charged with reckless driving and following too closely. By October 2025, a judge approved his entry into a pretrial program, allowing him to avoid further penalties if he meets certain conditions, including making a $1,000 charitable donation and maintaining proper licensing and insurance for one year.
The newly surfaced footage gives a clearer picture of how dangerous the situation became in real time, raising serious questions about how things unfolded on that stretch of highway.
