Vince McMahon’s return to WWE back in 2023 saw him become the Board of Directors and subsequently the Executive Chairman of WWE, and led to Stephanie McMahon resigning from her position as co-CEO of WWE. It’s been a couple of years since then and a lot has changed but it appears that Vince McMahon has not talked to Stephanie and Triple H since then.
While speaking on Behind the Turnbuckle, Jonathan Coachman claimed that Vince McMahon is unhappy with the current state of WWE. He mentioned that ever since the board vote, where Triple H and Stephanie McMahon both voted against keeping Vince McMahon, Vince has not spoken to either of them and has no intention of doing so.
Coachman pointed out that Shane McMahon seems to be the only family member still aligned with Vince, noting the long-standing tension between Vince McMahon and Triple H. At one point, Vince McMahon even remarked that there were too many McMahons in the kitchen, clearly referencing Triple H.
“So I also got some other information concerning Vince, and he’s not happy with what’s going on in WWE right now, as you can imagine. Reportedly—remember at WrestleMania when Triple H and Stephanie brought everyone out front to show who’s running things? Well, apparently Vince hasn’t spoken to either of them since the board vote—when they had to decide whether to keep him or send him out—and he won’t speak to them. They both voted no.
It feels to me like Shane, who’s sided with Vince on several occasions, might be the only one he’s still close with. And we all know Vince’s history with Triple H—he despises him. Vince was once quoted saying there’s one too many McMahons in the kitchen, referring to Triple H.”
According to Coachman’s source, Vince McMahon is extremely upset but might also be quietly satisfied with the current turmoil. He suggested that this kind of situation has pushed Vince to step away in the past, but it’s also the kind of scenario where Vince McMahon might decide to make a big move.
“According to my source, Vince is very upset right now. But at the same time, it almost seems like he’s happy this chaos is happening. We’ve seen this before with Vince—in other companies—where once things reach a certain point, he walks away. But then again, sometimes he makes a move.”
Coachman floated the idea that with Triple H reportedly earning significantly less and not even appearing on financial reports, Vince McMahon could potentially use the dysfunction as motivation to buy WWE back from TKO and take back control.
“Now just imagine this. Triple H reportedly didn’t even show up on the financials—he’s making so little compared to others. What if Vince, seeing all this infighting and dysfunction, decided to step back in and buy WWE back from TKO? Can you imagine that? Vince reclaiming WWE?”
While WWE under Triple H’s creative leadership has mostly been praised, especially by longtime fans, Jonathan Coachman’s report claims there may be ongoing personal and professional issues behind the scenes. Regardless, we’ll have to see whether there is truth to everything Coachman claimed, as fans would be surprised if Vince McMahon really has stopped talking to both Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.
