Vince McMahon’s backstage behavior has always been legendary, but former WWE star Mr. Kennedy just added another bizarre entry to the growing list of McMahon stories—this one involving protein-heavy farts and nervous creative teams.

Speaking on the Mic Check podcast, Mr. Kennedy claimed that Vince McMahon regularly passed gas in backstage meetings, especially when surrounded by younger talent and anxious writers. The environment, already high-pressure, made the situation even more awkward.

“He would fart! His diet was like a lot of protein, and there would be a group of talent — younger and greener talent — and writers. The thing about the writers is they were always on eggshells, with the exception of a few. They had the hardest job in the world, basically working 365 days a year, constantly trying to write with no off-season or downtime.”

Kennedy said Vince took pleasure in watching people squirm and would follow up harsh creative criticism with sudden flatulence just to rattle the room.

“They’re coming up with ideas, and Vince is like, ‘Are you f***** stupid?’ So these people are trying to be creative, like, ‘Oh, I have to say something, here I go.’ Then he goes, ‘Are you f****** stupid? Who’d come up with something so stupid?’ Then he would fart, just to watch people squirm. He’d love stuff like that — loved it.”*

According to Kennedy, no one ever confronted McMahon about it. Instead, Vince would openly acknowledge what he did, making it clear he got a kick out of the reaction.

“No one called him out. He’d be like, ‘That’s my gas, hahaha.’ Very weird — he always had something about farting and pooping.”

Whether it was juvenile humor or a calculated power play, McMahon’s gas-passing antics are now part of the wild legacy that’s followed him through decades of wrestling dominance. Mr. Kennedy’s story may seem surreal, but longtime fans know that with Vince, anything is possible.

Even after stepping back from the spotlight, Vince McMahon’s off-the-wall behavior continues to surface through stories like this. If nothing else, it shows just how strange and unpredictable WWE’s backstage atmosphere really was under his rule.
