Seth Rollins won the Money in the Bank ladder match and while many people felt this was the right call, Velveteen Dream sees it differently. After the show, Dream decided to call out Seth Rollins for stealing gimmicks for a decade, among other things.
The former WWE Superstar took to his Instagram and uploaded a video of himself, where he was seen watching Seth Rollins win the Money in the Bank ladder match. Dream accused Rollins of stealing yet another gimmick and questioned how many gimmicks it would take for him to stay relevant.
Rollins pointed out Rollins’ long list of nicknames like Kingslayer, Beastslayer, Architect, Visionary, Messiah, and claimed that Rollins acts like he’s above everyone, even like he’s a god. Dream credited him for Roman Reigns’ long title reign and mocked the idea that working with Paul Heyman now made him Mr. Money in the Bank.
“I’ll tell you who it is—Seth ‘Stealin’ Rollins steals another one. You know, I got a question, Seth—and your bosses, Paul and TKO may not like this—but how many gimmicks, Seth? How many does it take? Kingslayer? You beat Triple H. Beastslayer? You beat Brock Lesnar. The Architect? Yeah, we’ll give you credit for Roman Reigns’ five-year championship reign. History belongs to you, Mr. Architect.
Beastslayer, Kingslayer, Visionary, Messiah—you’re so good, you think you’re God. And now, with Paul Heyman—ECW’s favorite conman—you’ve somehow become Mr. Money in the Bank.”
Velveteen Dream also said Seth Rollins has been trying to get over for ten years by changing his character over and over. He didn’t blame WWE or TKO and instead, he blamed the fans and called them pathetic and fickle.
Dream said the fans keep cheering for someone who just steals ideas, and because of that, they’re the ones who ruined wrestling. Dream ended by saying this was not a dream but their reality.
“Ten years, Seth. Ten years of gimmicks. Ten years of trying to get over. I don’t have to ruin professional wrestling, because Seth Rollins—you said you wanted the truth, didn’t you, people? You wanted the truth? I’ll give you the truth: ten years of a guy stealing gimmicks.
I don’t blame TKO. I blame you—you pathetic, fickle fans. You did it again. I hope you enjoy it. It’s your world. Your wrestling. Your entertainment. It’s your WWE—and we’re just living in it. It’s not a dream—it’s your reality. And you are the ones who ruined it.”
This comes after Velveteen Dream became a topic of discussion because of his controversial outbursts on social media regarding his allegations and he even vowed to ruin professional wrestling at one point. Regardless, it’s unlikely Seth Rollins will respond to what Dream had to say and fans have just accepted Dream will do whatever he wants to in the end.
