Rhea Ripley may be one of WWE’s biggest names today, but that didn’t stop one major brand from overlooking her when she tried to reach out early in her career.

During the same appearance with Complex, Ripley talked about her long-time love for Vans and revealed that she actually tried to connect with the company herself when her WWE career started gaining momentum. At the time, she believed her growing popularity might open the door for a partnership — but things didn’t go the way she expected.

Ripley explained that despite reaching out directly, she never received any response from the brand she wears almost every day.

“Yeah. I mean, I'd love to do like a Vans deal for sure since they are the shoe that I wear every single day. I would love to do a Vans deal. And I remember when I first started in WWE, my name started getting a little bit bigger. And I remember I messaged them ages ago. They never got back to me. Yeah. I slid into their DMs and they didn't respond.”

Even with that missed opportunity, Ripley made it clear she’s still open to working with Vans in the future. Her loyalty to the brand hasn’t changed, and she continues to wear their shoes regularly both inside and outside of WWE appearances.

Now that Ripley has become one of the most recognizable stars in WWE, her comments could easily catch attention from the company — especially as athletes and entertainers continue landing major footwear partnerships.
