Val Venis is taking aim at CM Punk—and he’s not holding back. After the former WWE Champion took part in a protest against the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s decision to cut gender-affirming healthcare, Venis jumped on Twitter to unleash a controversial rant.
The protest, which Punk attended in support of trans rights, matched his long-standing advocacy for LGBTQ+ causes, mental health awareness, and animal welfare. But Venis made it clear he sees it as something else entirely.
“cmpunk needs to find Jesus. Affirming mental disorders like schizophrenia or gender dysphoria is not just a disservice to human beings, its the evil found in mental abuse for virtue signaling purposes. The lefts ammo. Affirming the mental disorders of those affected is evil.”
Venis didn’t stop at Punk. He previously labeled Cody Rhodes a “Satan worshipper” last year for publicly supporting trans rights, and this latest tweet shows he’s not letting go of his stance anytime soon.
CM Punk hasn’t responded to Venis’ post, but he’s never been one to stay silent when it comes to standing up for what he believes in. For now, the Second City Saint is continuing to support causes close to his heart—even if it draws fire from former colleagues.
