Val Venis is doubling down on his criticism of professional wrestlers speaking out against ICE—this time aiming straight at Brody King.

Just a day after blasting Mick Foley for endorsing a crowd’s “F*** ICE” chant on AEW Dynamite, Venis returned to Twitter on February 8, 2026, and went after King for wearing an “Abolish ICE” t-shirt, making it clear that it’s not justice; it’s cosplay.

“🔴 Brody King wearing ‘Abolish ICE’ on a Tshirt isn’t justice; it’s cosplay. Yelling at institutions, assaulting other humans, destroying property, doesn’t protect human beings. DUE PROCESS IS WHAT PROTECTS HUMAN BEINGS!”

Venis didn’t stop there—he questioned the education of wrestlers pushing political messages and doubled down on what he sees as the right way to address injustice.

“Guess public education failed these entertainers horrifically. Proof before power. Authority before punishment. Human rights aren’t slogans. They’re procedures.”

This latest comment follows Venis’ February 7 response to Mick Foley, where he accused the Hall of Famer of “encouraging protests against ICE” and called his ideas “very bad”, despite describing Foley as a “good-hearted man.”

The larger debate kicked off after the February 4 episode of AEW Dynamite, when the Las Vegas crowd broke into a loud “F*** ICE” chant ahead of the main event. Foley shared the moment on Instagram and wrote, “…really enjoying @aew as of late!”

For Venis, that wasn’t just support for a wrestling moment—it was a political endorsement he strongly disagreed with. Now, Brody King has become the latest name to catch heat for turning political commentary into wrestling symbolism.

Do you think Brody King and AEW should be making these kinds of political statements on national TV? Or do you agree with Val Venis that wrestling isn’t the place for it? Drop your thoughts in the comments—we want to hear your take.
