All Elite Wrestling might have found its next breakout duo — and they’re not even under contract yet.

According to Fightful Select, AEW has significant plans to continue using Maya World and Hyan after their last-minute performance on Collision impressed officials.

The two independent stars were tapped to replace Miranda Alize and Nixon Newell after they walked out over their scheduled match time being reduced. Not only did Maya and Hyan step in on short notice, but they followed it up with an eight-minute match the following week — a clear sign that AEW sees real potential in them.

“The two got a last-minute match on a recent Collision when Miranda Alize and Nixon Newell opted not to perform, and then ended up getting an eight-minute match on the next week’s Collision. Those we spoke to in AEW say it was a direct result of how well they handled the prior week.”

While they haven’t officially signed, AEW insiders are already pushing to see them used more going forward.

“It was confirmed that Maya World and Hyan are not signed by All Elite Wrestling, but it was claimed that the company has had heavy interest in using them moving forward.”

The positive momentum doesn’t appear to be slowing down. In fact, AEW sources believe it’s just a matter of time before both women become full-time fixtures in the company.

“AEW sources said that they wouldn’t be surprised to see the duo under contract sooner than later.”

With their stock rapidly rising, Maya World and Hyan may have just turned a backstage scramble into a long-term opportunity — and AEW’s booking patterns suggest they’re being positioned for more TV time.
