Brock Lesnar vs Kevin Owens – Universal Championship
This is a war waiting to be declared. Brock Lesnar – WWE’s biggest draw – has very few legitimate dream matches left in WWE. Lesnar has already faced the likes of Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Samoa Joe and, coming up at No Mercy, Braun Strowman, leaving few fresh and fantastic opponents for the Beast Incarnate. However he has not yet faced Kevin Owens. WWE clearly holds Owens in high regard after a Universal Championship run and now a feud with Shane McMahon. There is good reason for this too. Owens is an extraordinary performer, his in ring work is spectacular while his mic work literally speaks for itself. The verbal battles between Owens and Heyman will be a fan’s dream. While the physical war between Owens and Lesnar would be legendary.
Owens is only 33 with a lot of years ahead of him. Having achieved so much already Owens’ next step is a huge career defining victory to push him to the next level. Lesnar is the perfect candidate. The story is simple, Owens returns to RAW after hating his time on Smackdown Live and tears through the roster before demanding his rightful rematch for the Universal Championship. Owens can be granted this or, even better, he could win the Rumble match which is perfect for someone like Owens. This match is unlikely to happen due to WWE clearly having other opponents lined up for Lesnar that are not Kevin Owens but this match would be an amazing spectacle and deserving of the last spot on the ‘Mania card just like the stars involved.
