John Cena vs Samoa Joe – Universal Championship
This is an ambitious one and one that is very unlikely to happen. But dear God what a Wrestlemania main event this would be. I have said it before and I will say it again Samoa Joe is money. WWE need to capitalise on the few years they have left of the Samoan Submission Machine. What better way to do this than to main event Wrestlemania with the Face that Runs the Place John Cena. Having Joe go up against – and defeat – John Cena for the Universal Championship will instantly make him a huge main stream star. As well as this the match itself is a dream match which has the potential to be one of the best of both men’s careers and that is an extremely high standard.
Getting to this match will be the extremely difficult part. WWE will have to put the title on Cena between now and the Rumble if they were to get a good reign and story. That may mean Cena defeating Lesnar or even less appealing Cena defeating Strowman. As well as that Joe will have to get himself in the spot of number 1 contender. The Rumble and a number one contender elimination chamber are good ways to do this. Maybe even a tournament to determine the number one contender. However it is highly unlikely, there are so many nonsensical steps for WWE and too many plans they would need to put on hold. The continuity of stories would go into a manic spiral. But, imagine if they pulled it off…
