Big E is stepping onto the big screen, and this time, it’s not for a wrestling match—it’s for a full-fledged Hollywood heist comedy.
Deadline reports that the former WWE Champion has landed a role in ‘F+’, a family comedy about a group of teens who break into their middle school to change their failing grades.
The movie, which just locked in a North American distribution deal with Vertical, also features six-time UFC champion Randy Couture, Tommy Davidson (In Living Color), and Jennifer Esposito (Crash). Big E is bringing his signature charisma to the film alongside a cast of rising stars, including Wells Rappaport, Lily Jane, James Williams Jr., Lilly Tricano, and Cade Clark.
The movie, directed by Kenny Beaumont and written by Jonathan Davenport, was produced by Swen Studios’ Eli Lipnik and Jason M. Murphy of In The Dark Entertainment. Elias Axume and Carlos Rincon from Premiere Entertainment handled the distribution deal with Vertical’s SVP of Acquisitions Tony Piantedosi.
“Producing this film during the strike was a challenging experience, but the team did an incredible job bringing this fun and engaging story to life,” said Eli Lipnik. “We are thrilled that Vertical will be sharing this family-friendly film with audiences of all ages.”
Big E’s transition into Hollywood comes after a career-altering neck injury that sidelined him from WWE competition, leaving fans wondering about his in-ring future. Now, it looks like he’s carving out a new path in entertainment, and ‘F+’ could be the first of many big-screen projects for the powerhouse superstar.
