It looks like Tyrese Haliburton’s WWE involvement is on ice for now—and his injury and the Pacers’ playoff collapse seem to be the main reasons why.
During a recent Q&A, WrestleVotes revealed that while Haliburton’s connection to WWE has been well-received behind the scenes, the reality is that with his injury and the Pacers out of the playoffs, there’s little reason to feature him right now.
“It’s funny you say that — when he was in Game 4 or 5, he was at the post-game conference and they asked him something about social media. He said that he stays off it for the most part except to check WWE news. Those guys — the guys I talked to, the guys who work there — they loved that, they thought that was great for the company. But outside of that, you know, then he gets hurt and they don’t end up winning, so you won’t hear his name too often going forward.”
Haliburton last appeared on the May 19 episode of WWE RAW, where he revealed he would be a playable character in the upcoming WWE 2K25 video game. At the time, fans speculated that his growing relationship with WWE could lead to more appearances. But now, with an Achilles injury keeping him sidelined and the Pacers eliminated, there’s not much momentum to bring him back into the fold.
While there’s always a chance Haliburton could pop up in WWE again once he’s healthy and the NBA schedule lightens up, for now, it sounds like WWE is pressing pause on his involvement.
