WWE Evolution 2 just got even bigger — with two legends now confirmed for the all-women’s event this Sunday.
PWInsider reports that Alundra Blayze (also known as Madusa) and Jazz are both scheduled to be at the July 13th show in Atlanta, Georgia. While no specific roles were revealed, they two could be involved in the battle royal or possibly working behind the scenes.
Both women are trailblazers in professional wrestling, with Blayze being a former WWE Women’s Champion and Hall of Famer, and Jazz having made a name for herself across WWE, ECW, and NWA. Their presence alone adds a level of credibility and respect to a weekend already packed with wrestling history.
Lilian Garcia, who announced the first Evolution event in 2018, is also officially back behind the mic for this one. She made the reveal on Instagram, sharing her excitement about returning.
“I was fortunate enough to be the announcer [for] the 1st ever Evolution so now to be able to announce the 2nd one as well and continue to celebrate the progression of where this industry has evolved to along side these incredible women is such an honor!!!” she wrote.
Garcia reflected on the effort it takes for everyone involved to pull off a show like this: “It all starts with hard work! …for ALL of us!! We dedicate hours to our craft. It’s not easy but it’s definitely worth it!!”
She also teased what’s shaping up to be a loaded weekend in Atlanta: “See you Saturday for @wwe Saturday Nights Main Event and then Sunday for Evolution!! One hot weekend in Hotlanta, GA!!! 😁🔥”
Garcia recently served as the ring announcer for WWE x AAA: Worlds Collide last month, so this return to Evolution 2 was a welcome continuation of her involvement in major events.
As WWE prepares to bring back its all-women’s premium live event, having legends like Blayze and Jazz present only adds fuel to speculation about big moments still to come.
