Brock Lesnar is set to return to WWE SmackDown on September 19, just 24 hours before he goes head-to-head with John Cena at WrestlePalooza.
This will be his first on-screen appearance since the contract signing, and he’s scheduled for a live interview that’s expected to set the tone for Saturday’s showdown. With emotions already running high, Lesnar’s presence alone is sure to send a message.
The night also features two major championship matches. For the third straight week, Sami Zayn will defend the United States Championship in an open challenge. But unlike previous weeks, this time there’s no mystery—Carmelo Hayes has already declared himself as the challenger. After weeks of building momentum and calling his shot, Hayes steps into his biggest match yet with a chance to dethrone Zayn and instantly elevate his standing on SmackDown.
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair will defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre. The match has extra fuel after Green and her enforcer, the so-called Secret Hervice, blindsided Charlotte several weeks ago and briefly put her out of action. Bliss avenged the ambush with a singles win over Green, but now The Queen is back and looking for revenge in tag team form. With bad blood already boiling, this one isn’t just about the titles—it’s personal.
SmackDown goes live tonight at 8/7c on USA Network, and with Lesnar on the mic, title gold up for grabs, and a returning Flair seeking payback, this episode promises major fallout heading into WrestlePalooza.
