AEW Collision had a surprise in store for fans in Glasgow, Scotland, as two former WWE stars made their official AEW debuts—Mark Andrews and Isla Dawn. But neither walked out with their hand raised.
Mark Andrews was the first to step through the curtain, only to be steamrolled by Big Bill. The powerhouse didn’t waste any time, dropping Andrews with a Bossman Slam for the quick win. But the real punishment came after the bell, when Big Bill chokeslammed Andrews through two steel chairs. A rough night for the high-flyer.
Andrews, who’s been keeping active across the UK scene with promotions like ATTACK!, PROGRESS, and Burning Heart, is no stranger to tag gold. He’s a former WWE NXT UK Tag Team Champion and TNA World Tag Team Champion—both reigns with Flash Morgan Webster.
Earlier in the night, former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Isla Dawn also made her AEW debut in front of her home country crowd. Dawn faced off against Megan Bayne, who overpowered her with a running liger bomb for the victory.
This was only Dawn’s second match since being released by WWE back in February. Her first came earlier this month at a Burning Heart event. Known for her eerie presence and her tag team success alongside Alba Fyre, Dawn once held both the NXT and WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
AEW Collision gave both stars a platform—but not the result they were hoping for.
