Trish Stratus’ WWE Future Uncertain After Evolution 2

Trish Stratus is set to challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship at Evolution 2 this week. Fans have been wondering if Stratus will make more appearances after the event but it appears her future in WWE is uncertain after Evolution.

While speaking to Sam Roberts, Trish Stratus was asked about her future in WWE after Evolution and explained that since this is her 25th anniversary year, it feels like a time of celebration. She said that’s how she approached it, wanting to do some cool things to mark the milestone.

Stratus talked about the moments they’ve already had this year, like entering at number 25 in the Royal Rumble, which fit perfectly since Toronto was right around the corner. They also built on the Money in the Bank story from a year ago, at Elimination Chamber formed a nice partnership with Tiffany Stratton, and had a good match. Now facing off at Evolution feels like the right next step.

“It kinda felt like, since this is my 25th anniversary year, it’s a year of celebration. That’s how I talked about it—like, let’s do some cool stuff this year.

We’ve had these moments. Coming in at 25 at the Royal Rumble, Toronto was right around the corner, it made sense. We built on the Money in the Bank story from a year ago, got a nice partnership there, had a nice homecoming match. And now this is a great place for us to face off at Evolution.”

The WWE Hall of Famer also pointed out that it’s only July, and she’s been telling people in WWE that if they want more Stratusfaction, they should let her know, and if they don’t, that’s fine as well. Either way, she’s open to whatever comes next.

“It’s only July right now. I’ve literally said, ‘If you guys want some more Stratusfaction, let me know. But if you don’t, then let me know too. So if you want more Stratusfaction, let me know.”

Whether Evolution 2 turns out to be the last chapter or just another exciting part of her amazing career, it’s clear that Trish Stratus is having a great time. Therefore, we’ll have to see if Stratus will return to WWE television after Evolution 2 this week.
