WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus hasn’t competed since her steel cage match with Becky Lynch at Payback 2023, but fans are still eagerly wondering when she will return to the ring. As the Royal Rumble event approaches, Stratus’ current status for the event has now been revealed.

While speaking on Backstage Pass’s Live Q&A, WrestleVotes shared an update on Trish Stratus’ potential return to WWE. They mentioned that there had been talks about her appearing at a big upcoming Premium Live Event and added that Trish will be in Indianapolis and that WWE plans to bring her in.

While it’s not clear if this will be for a Royal Rumble appearance, it’s been discussed. They noted that with only a few women’s legends still active, Trish is one of them and if both sides are willing, there’s a good chance she’ll return.

“I know it’s been discussed. I know she will be in Indianapolis. I know WWE is bringing her in; don’t know specifically if it is for a Rumble appearance, but I know it’s been discussed. I mean, there’s only so many women’s legends they can call on, especially those that can still do it. And she’s one of them. So if she’s willing, and they’re willing, I say better than a good shot, she’s there.”

The Royal Rumble Premium Live Event will take place on February 1, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium. During that weekend, WWE will host various Meet and Greets at the Indianapolis Convention Center. As noted earlier, Trish Stratus is scheduled to be in town for the Rumble weekend and will be part of the Meet and Greets.

The idea of Trish Stratus making a surprise return as a participant in the Royal Rumble wouldn’t be a surprise, given her legendary career. She could easily remind fans why she’s considered one of the greatest women to ever step into a WWE ring. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see if the WWE Hall of Famer makes her return at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event next month.
