R-Truth made his unexpected return during the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, just a week after he was let go. Triple H ultimately made the call for R-Truth’s release last week and now he has come under fire for firing R-Truth before Nick Khan reversed it.

While speaking on Lucha Libre Online, Hugo Savinovich talked about R-Truth’s surprise return to WWE and how Triple H responded to it. During the post-show conference, Game laughed it off and claimed that it was all part of the show, saying, “I love the question. Are you enjoying the show? It’s all part of the show, man.” Savinovich pointed out how Triple H wasn’t happy with R-Truth’s return for brushing it off as being part of the show.

“In other words, he brushed it off as just part of the show. That clearly shows Triple H wasn’t happy with R-Truth’s return.”

Hugo explained that Triple H was the one who decided to fire R-Truth and Carlito but Nick Khan secretly worked to bring R-Truth back. Even other wrestlers didn’t know it was happening and were upset when Truth and Carlito got fired. Most people thought Roman Reigns would be the big surprise, but when the hood came off and it was R-Truth, it shocked everyone even more.

“Here’s the key: Nick Khan—listen carefully, he’s the hero here. Now fast forward: Triple H had made the call to fire Truth. He also fired Carlito Nick Khan secretly worked to bring Truth back. Even the other WWE talents were caught off guard. They were angry about Truth and Carlito being let go. Everyone—including me—thought Roman Reigns was the surprise. When the hood came off, and it was Truth, it was far more impactful.”

Savinovich noted that Triple H was upset because he fired R-Truth but Nick Khan overruled him. At the press conference, instead of being honest, he acted like it was always part of the plan. Hugo said that wasn’t right and that fans aren’t stupid since they could tell it wasn’t planned.

“Triple H is not happy about Truth coming back. Why? Because he fired him. But Nick Khan overruled him. Triple H isn’t happy. What annoys me most is that in the press conference, when USA Today asked him directly about Truth, he replied, “Did you like the show? Then that was part of the work.” Come on. Even a child knows better. Nobody’s buying that this was scripted. He insulted their intelligence.”

As someone who has been both talent and creative, Hugo Savinovich says mistakes happen, but real leaders admit them. He believes Nick Khan did the right thing and showed real leadership by bringing Truth back. Triple H didn’t handle it well and made the locker room even more upset. Now he wonders if there is tension between Triple H and Nick Khan but in the end, Nick has more power in WWE right now.

“I’ve seen it. I’ve been talent and part of creative. Sometimes we make mistakes, but real leaders admit it. That’s what fans respect. Someone owning up to mistakes. Triple H didn’t do that—instead, he made the locker room angrier. A true leader makes decisions that benefit everyone, not just himself. So Nick had to step in and act like a real leader. Will this tension between Triple H and Nick escalate? We’ll see. But Nick is higher up.”

As reported earlier, R-Truth wasn’t responding to WWE’s attempts to contact him before the event. The company tried several times to reach out, but he ignored them until Nick Khan called him directly and worked out a deal. Nonetheless, R-Truth is back in WWE and that’s what fans truly care about but they do hope that Triple H won’t try to insult their intelligence again.
