Jade Cargill’s shocking return at WWE Elimination Chamber sent shockwaves through the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, but Triple H just cleared up months of speculation about why she was off TV.

For months, conflicting reports swirled about why Cargill disappeared from WWE television in November following a backstage attack angle. Some sources claimed she was dealing with an undisclosed injury, while PWInsider firmly reported that Cargill was simply on vacation.

Now, Triple H has seemingly put that rumor to rest. Speaking at the WWE Elimination Chamber Post-Show, The Game acknowledged the challenges of booking Cargill’s absence, explaining that her return timeline was unclear due to her injury.

“I know sometimes that seemed like an odd build or an odd storytelling, the way it all went down over time. Sometimes, it is very difficult to do. It is very difficult to tell a story when you don’t know the outcome that you have in front of you yet. Is she going to be back? Is she going to be back soon or really long? You just don’t have any answers,” Triple H explained.

His comments all but confirm that Cargill was not simply on vacation, as previously reported, but actually recovering from an injury. WWE apparently had to adjust week by week, keeping the storyline alive without knowing when she’d be cleared to return.

With her devastating attack on Naomi at Elimination Chamber, Cargill is officially back in the mix, and it’s clear that WWE has big plans for her moving forward.
