Triple H is promising that WWE fans are in for a wild ride at WrestlePalooza, the company’s first-ever premium live event airing on ESPN.

The show takes place Saturday, September 20, live from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, and features a stacked lineup with names like John Cena, Cody Rhodes, AJ Lee, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, and Stephanie Vaquer.

Appearing on ESPN’s Get Up, the WWE Chief Content Officer didn’t hold back when hyping up the event and teased that fans should be ready for more than just what’s advertised.

“Nobody does big events like WWE, with possibly the exception of ESPN. What you guys do, the hype that you put around it— shows like this, coming up here and having the honor of being here with you. All of this, First Take, ESPN, it builds those events to be bigger than anything. Then, we deliver on them bigger than anybody. Expect spectacle, expect surprises, expect to have a lot of fun and ESPN is going to deliver.”

Triple H also took a moment to emphasize WWE’s ability to control the entertainment experience and deliver every time.

“Well, like everything with WWE, you can expect spectacle. You can expect an event that’s larger than life. The one great thing about WWE is, you know, we — we control the narrative, so — so to speak. So you’re always going to get a great game.”

In a playful jab at the New York Jets, Triple H compared WWE’s consistency to the frustration of football fandom.

“You know, unlike sometimes — I’ll just say for you — like with the Jets, most times you’re disappointed. You know what I mean? Most times it’s disappointment. We’re going to control this narrative. We’re going to give you a great game.”

And if you’re wondering how this all ends? “And you’re always going to come out a winner in our world.”

WrestlePalooza marks a massive moment for WWE’s relationship with ESPN, and Triple H wants fans to know this is just the beginning of something major. With Cena vs. Lesnar, Punk & AJ vs. Rollins & Becky, and major crossover potential on the card, the surprises might just be the best part.
