Triple H has finally addressed the elephant in the room — Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE after a year-long disappearance and serious legal cloud.

After Lesnar stunned fans at SummerSlam 2025 by F5’ing John Cena just seconds after Cody Rhodes won the Undisputed WWE Championship, fans were left with more questions than answers. Now, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque is offering his first public comments on the Beast Incarnate’s controversial comeback.

During his appearance on ESPN’s Get Up, host Peter Schrager asked Triple H what the future holds for Lesnar, given that he had been completely removed from all programming, marketing, and internal communications following his involvement in the Janel Grant lawsuit. Triple H gave a blunt response — and it confirmed what insiders already knew.

“Have you met Brock? I have not met Brock. Whatever the hell he wants. When you’re Brock Lesnar, you sort of can. When that music hits and you walk down that aisle—doesn’t matter where he is—he sort of does what he wants to do.”

He made it clear that Lesnar’s return wasn’t some long-cooked storyline — it was an invitation WWE extended once legal cleared it.

“We’re thrilled to have the Beast back. You know, we hit him up and said, ‘Time to come home,’ and he was into it. And here we are. A massive, massive moment for our WWE fans—something that they thought they wouldn’t get to see.”

Triple H’s statement echoes what Michael Cole revealed live on RAW just days earlier. Cole said both Triple H and WWE CEO Nick Khan told him the company reached out “a number of weeks ago,” and Lesnar accepted the offer to return.

Still, that comeback comes with serious baggage. Lesnar had been completely erased from WWE’s ecosystem in early 2024 after being named — though not accused — in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon. The lawsuit claimed McMahon instructed Grant to send sexually explicit content to Lesnar during contract negotiations, including a shocking request for urination videos.

While WWE went silent on the issue, sources told Ringside News that Lesnar would not return “until this legal situation is over.” But with the ban lifted — in part due to Paul Heyman’s repeated Hall of Fame references — Lesnar slowly crept back into WWE’s promotional material and eventually into SummerSlam itself.

And now? Triple H says it’s Brock’s world. Lesnar’s return signals a turning point in WWE’s risk tolerance. He’s back, front-and-center, at a time when WWE is repositioning itself under a $1.625 billion streaming deal with ESPN — and it seems no move is off the table.

Triple H’s words send a strong message: Lesnar calls his own shots. But whether fans — and critics — accept that is a whole different story.
