Kevin Nash is pulling no punches when it comes to the real-life heat between CM Punk and Triple H—and it turns out their issues went way deeper than TV promos.

On the latest episode of Kliq This, Nash dropped a story from the early 2010s that shines a light on just how personal things got. According to Big Sexy, CM Punk went off-script and took a shot at Stephanie McMahon—something that didn’t sit well with her husband, Triple H. Nash recalled the backstage fallout after the incident, revealing just how fast Triple H decided to take matters into his own hands:

“When I was supposed to wrestle CM Punk after I cost him the belt, he said something that pissed off Paul about something with him and Stephanie. And it wasn’t on script. And it pissed Paul off.”

“Paul came back and basically said, ‘You’re not wrestling Punk. I am. I’m beating that motherf**er.’”*

This wasn’t just Triple H stepping into a feud—it was about real anger. Nash made it clear this wasn’t business as usual:

“He was that hot… And it wasn’t like Paul being a character—it was like, ‘Oh, OK, motherf**er. You want to pull them out and measure them? Here we go. Suck on that.’”*

Despite the intense history, Nash admitted he was shocked to see how far things have come between Punk and Triple H today—especially now that Punk is back in WWE and trusted at the top of the card.

“I know how much Paul cares for him now. And what it took to bring him back. That relationship is real.”

But Nash also explained that this kind of reconciliation isn’t rare in the wrestling business—because at the end of the day, money talks:

“That’s what people don’t understand that aren’t in the business. You can have that kind of fing heat with somebody ten years ago… but man, when you gotta make money and make music together—fing how quickly that dissolves.”

For Nash, the Punk vs. Triple H dynamic is more than just creative storytelling. It’s a real-life evolution from legit beef to mutual respect—and maybe even business partnership.
