Triple H is catching heat online after making an incorrect claim about WWE history, and fans wasted no time calling him out.

On February 16, 2025, he took to Twitter/X to reflect on the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live, recalling the time he, The Rock, Paul Wight (Big Show), and Mick Foley appeared on the show.

In his post, he stated, “25 years ago, @TheRock made history by becoming the first @WWE Superstar to host SNL… and @PaulWight, Mick Foley, and I brought attitude to the monologue! Congrats to all the cast, crew, and executives of @nbcsnl who have created a global entertainment franchise for 50 years.”

It didn’t take long for fans to fact-check him into oblivion. Twitter/X quickly hit his post with a community note, correcting his statement by pointing out that Hulk Hogan was actually the first WWE Superstar to host SNL, doing so alongside Mr. T in 1985.

The backlash was immediate, with fans jumping into the comments to roast Triple H for getting such a well-documented moment in WWE history wrong. Some even joked about how WWE has a habit of rewriting history, while others sarcastically asked if he thought WWE started in the late ’90s.

Even with his legendary status in wrestling and WWE management, this slip-up proves that not even The Game is safe from getting checked by the internet.

Do you think Triple H’s mistake was an innocent mix-up, or should he have known better? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
