Triple H is proud of the storylines he’s helped create in recent years, but he still faces plenty of criticism from those who dislike the current WWE product. Despite this, he’s made it clear that he couldn’t care less about online critics now.

While speaking on the Flagrant podcast, Triple H explained that the internet isn’t a reflection of real life and that the complaining and negativity online isn’t accurate. He pointed out that while people online might say something is “dead,” it’s far from the truth.

For example, some people online said Cody Rhodes’ career as a babyface was over, but Triple H disagreed. He pointed out that Cody Rhodes still gets huge cheers from crowds of 10,000 to 15,000 people every night and sells the most merchandise. Despite what people say online, what really matters are the reactions from the live crowd.

“The internet’s not real life, right? And the bitching and the complaining that is on there is not real life. Like, we can— you could read the internet and it’ll sound like this thing is dead. It’s not. You know, like, and I’ll use Cody as the example. Cody’s already jumped the shark. He’s dead as a babyface. He’s like, ‘Really? ‘Cause I don’t know, I’m in an arena with 10,000, 15,000 people every night going ape**** for me, selling the most merchandise.’ He’s like, ‘Yeah, like, but sure, whatever you want to say on the internet, that’s the golden rule.'”

The Game also mentioned Jey Uso, who a lot of people criticize, but he’s still getting big reactions and selling merchandise. In the end, Triple H reminded everyone that opinions online aren’t always accurate, and the real feedback comes from the fans in the arena.

“As we begin to tell these stories, you know, this is working, this is not working. And whether people are b******* online or people—the reaction of people live is what you can trust, right? Jey Uso’s terrible. It’s never going to—what are they doing? They’re yeeting dude again—merch, the reaction in the crowd, everything he does—like, yeah, it’s just opinion of a few people.”

Triple H’s comments remind us that in WWE, the reactions from live fans are much more important than the loud opinions from social media. Whether it’s Cody Rhodes or Jey Uso, the energy from the crowd and their support for the product show that what’s said online doesn’t always reflect the full picture, and The Cerebral Assassin knows that all too well.
