Travis Scott might have busted Cody Rhodes’ eardrum at Elimination Chamber, but WWE isn’t pressing pause on his involvement. In fact, according to Triple H, Scott’s role is only going to get bigger as WrestleMania 41 approaches.
Speaking at the Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, Triple H didn’t acknowledge the controversy surrounding Scott’s actions but made it clear that WWE has no plans to pull him from the storyline. Instead, they’re leaning further into his involvement with The Rock, John Cena, and Cody Rhodes.
“We have Travis Scott in the middle of a storyline right now that will get bigger as we head into WrestleMania, and coming out of it,” Triple H stated.
The decision isn’t sitting well with some in WWE. Reports indicate that Scott had a lot of heat backstage for going too far and legitimately injuring Rhodes. Some within WWE felt he shouldn’t have even been in the segment. Despite that, footage after Elimination Chamber showed Triple H, The Rock, and others treating Scott like a VIP.
With WWE doubling down on Scott’s involvement, the real question is—how far will this go? Will Scott find himself inside the ring at WrestleMania, or is WWE playing with fire by keeping him involved?
