Trick Williams took a brutal hit to the head during this week’s WWE NXT main event against Ricky Saints, leaving fans concerned after a wild ringside spot turned dangerous.

The incident occurred midway through the match when Williams charged toward Saints with an attempted spear. Saints dodged, causing Williams to crash through a gimmicked barricade—but what followed was no stunt.

Williams’ momentum carried him into the real metal guardrail behind the fake barricade, and his head visibly smashed into one of the steel support beams. A WWE referee immediately checked on him after the impact.

According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer, Williams was hurt worse than it first appeared:

“Trick busted his head wide open when he went through the barricade and accidentally hit his head on a metal beam. Ref asked if he was OK and Trick said yes, at which point the ref asked, ‘ARE YOU SURE?’”

Despite the nasty injury, the match continued. Ricky Saints ultimately picked up the win after delivering a devastating spear through the announce table. But the drama didn’t stop there.

As Saints stood tall, former NXT Champion Oba Femi made a surprise return to close the show—setting the stage for what could be a major rivalry. Trick Williams posted a photo from the aftermath on Instagram.
