Trick Williams isn’t just holding the TNA World Championship—he’s defending his grind, too. Ahead of his triple threat match at Slammiversary 2025, Trick is letting fans know that his reign is no ego trip—it’s real work.
During a recent interview with WhatCulture Wrestling, Trick was asked how he’s feeling going into his TNA World Title defense against Mike Santana and Joe Hendry. But before diving into match prep, he made time to shut down the critics who claim his title run is just about clout.
“Something that bothers me is a lot of people say this brand don’t mean nothing to me. You know, it just feeds my ego and it’s just a vanity project for me to carry this title.”
He then made his case—pointing to his grind, not just his talk—as proof that he’s doing more than just showing up for the spotlight.
“But I’m literally the best thing for the brand. Like, who’s going to put in the work like I’m putting in the work? Everybody caught their flight, they back home, they eating potato chips at the crib. Trick Williams is working out all day, every day. He does interviews. I’mma go work out again. That’s the difference, man.”
The TNA World Champion made it clear—while others are clocking out and heading home, he’s still putting in reps, still taking calls, still showing up. Whether it’s a press tour or the gym, Trick is living this title reign.
With Slammiversary around the corner, Trick Williams isn’t just defending a championship—he’s defending his name, his hustle, and what he believes TNA stands for under his reign.
