Lil Yachty’s WWE situation just took a turn — and this time, it’s not about the backlash. It’s about what’s being planned behind the scenes, as Trick Williams revealed he plans on training to make his in-ring debut in the future.

After catching heat for his involvement heading into WrestleMania 42, a new update from Trick Williams is now changing the conversation completely — because this may not stop at a cameo.

Speaking on the NEW RORY & MAL podcast on April 9, 2026, Trick opened up about his ongoing conversations with Lil Yachty — and made it clear this isn’t just a celebrity popping in for attention. He first broke down why he thinks Yachty actually fits into the WWE world, pointing to his understanding of performance and promotion.

“My boy Lil Yachty, you know—we’re talking on the phone and different stuff—but he understands the business and the similarities between hip-hop and WWE. How to promote, you know, how to market yourself, and how to make people feel something. So, you know, I’m excited to see what Yachty can do in the business. I think that’s going to be pretty cool.”

But the tone shifted quickly — and that’s where things got interesting. Trick didn’t just talk about Yachty being around… he started talking about getting him in the ring: “Yeah—get Yachty in the ring.” That’s what I’m saying—in the ring, man. Let him feel the cables.”

And then came the biggest reveal — this isn’t just talk. According to Trick, Yachty is already preparing to take that step, with actual training now part of the plan.

“He said he wants to feel the cables. He said he’s going to get in tip-top shape. We got him a trainer, you know what I mean? We finna get Yachty right.”

Just days ago, Yachty was defending himself after fans pushed back on his SmackDown appearance alongside Trick Williams — arguing that WrestleMania 42 is becoming too focused on celebrities. He made it clear he sees himself as a real fan who’s earned his spot.

Now, instead of stepping away, it looks like he’s going even deeper — possibly into an actual in-ring role. And with Trick currently tied to Sami Zayn and the United States Championship picture, this isn’t happening in a vacuum. If Yachty gets involved physically, it could directly impact a WrestleMania storyline.

At the same time, WWE’s growing list of celebrity involvement — including names like Tom Brady, Pat McAfee, and IShowSpeed — has already been under the microscope. This latest update only pushes that debate further. WrestleMania 42 is getting closer, and what started as a controversial appearance might be turning into something much bigger — and much more physical.

Do you think Lil Yachty should actually step into a WWE ring, or is this going too far? Drop your thoughts and let me know.
