Trick Williams is done playing nice. The WWE star showed up on Busted Open Radio to talk about squaring off with Randy Orton—and he didn’t hold back when it came to what went down in the ring.
When asked about sharing a moment with a legend like Orton, Trick corrected the narrative real fast.
“Well, I got to correct you right there, Dave, ‘cause I had my microphone in hand. He ain’t have his. I smacked his, you know, all the way to the…”
That mic slap wasn’t just for show. Trick wanted to send a message to everyone, including the Viper.
“They got to let them know, man. I’m here. I ain’t here to play around. You know, my opening promo with Sami Zayn, I said, I’m going for the world title, world championship. I ain’t playing around. I ain’t here to make friends. I ain’t here to be cute. I’m here to stand toe-to-toe against the best. And Randy Orton is one of the best. So I had to do what I had to do.”
As for whether he was nervous about going head-to-head with a 14-time world champ, Trick had a clear mindset—respect, not fear.
“As a fighter, period, you got to respect every man that you’re across from. It doesn’t matter. I don’t care if he’s 5’5, 130 lbs. You got to treat everybody the same.”
“There’s a level of respect I put on everybody. I fear no man. I treat everybody the same. And I always have my guard up so I’m ready for whatever happens. With it being Randy Orton—I mean, yes, I understand it’s Randy Orton… But look, man, he’s another man just like I am. We put our lemon pepper steppers on the same way.”
Whether he’s mic-checking legends or standing tall on SmackDown, Trick Williams clearly isn’t here to coast. The message is loud and clear—he’s ready to run with the best in WWE, and he’s not afraid to let them know.
